What this program is. We send appointment confirmations and reminders to existing clients of the studio, and we let them reschedule by replying. That is the whole program. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.

How clients opt in — by text

Opt-in happens by text message, and it takes two steps. Giving us a mobile number does not enrol anyone; only replying YES does.

Step 1 — the client gives us a mobile number. When an appointment is booked, on our booking page at jhilburnfrisco.thestar.biz/booking.html, by phone, or in the studio, the client is told the number is used for appointment texts and is asked whether they would like them. The mobile field on the booking form is optional and is labelled:

Step 2 — we text them once, and they must reply YES. Nothing else is sent unless they do. The single message they receive is:

“Phyllis Walker J. Hilburn Stylist Studio: reply YES to receive appointment confirmations and reminders by text. Msg freq varies by appointment, msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”

If they do not reply YES, no further messages are sent and the number is not enrolled.

What the messages look like

Every message identifies the studio, gives a way to reach us, and carries the opt-out.

Confirmation
“Hi John! This is Phyllis from J Hilburn at The Star. Our appointment for Sept 20 11:00 AM is confirmed. Please reach out to +1(214) 542-5930 in case you need to reschedule. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Reminder
“Hi John, a reminder from Phyllis at J Hilburn at The Star: your appointment is tomorrow, Sept 20 at 11:00 AM, 6635 Cowboys Way Suite 105. Reply or call +1(214) 542-5930 to reschedule. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Reschedule
“Thanks John — no problem. Phyllis has Wed, Thu and Fri 11am–5pm open. What day suits? Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message from us. It is honoured immediately and automatically. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further texts unless you opt in again by replying YES to a new invitation.

Stopping texts does not affect your appointments, your status as a client, or any email you have separately subscribed to.
